This was the best day of my life. I married my best friend and had my entire family there too! I'm so lucky that i have a mom and dad who worked so hard to give me the wedding of my dreams. It was gorgeous! I cant even begin to thank everyone who traveled to come to the wedding and be apart of our special day. I love you all so much and thanks for always being there!

Six month anniversary +1 Day

Wow I still cant believe Shawn and I have been married for 6 months already! Time really does fly by when your having fun! Im so grateful for my husband and all the things he does for me. I dont know what i would do without him. I know somedays we get frustrated with eachother and have really stupid little fights over nothing, but i wouldnt change a thing about us. I love who we are and how we have grown together. Life is about finding that best friend you can always count on and who builds you up and always pushes you just a little to do better or be better. Shawn is my better half. He has always been the man for me, it just took me forever to find him.. haha. I know that as long as we are together we can accomplish anything. I will always be there for him and I know he will always be there for me. I love you Shawn Kelly. You are my everything and i cant wait to see where the road is going to take us.

Yay for Friday!!!

So today is my last day at Compensation and Pension. Im sad, I love the people im working with! But still pretty excited to be making better money! I got a new position as a Program Support Assistant, but im not sure which clinic ill be working in, its still at the VA so thats a plus.

Shawn and I went to target and I finally found a shirt! I tried on a few and shawn didnt really like em he said they made me look like i was 15, then i picked out a dark brown converse button up shirt, 3/4 sleeves and he gave me a very big thumbs up! He's wearing a button up shirt that has a brown, white and black design, pwoo0r... he looks hot in it :) and I am wearing a solid dark brown button up shirt and a hot pink tank top from down east outfitters with the lace sticking out of the bottom. I think were going to look so hot! Hes kind of camera shy but i told him to just have fun and relax. Im really excited to finally be getting our photos done! It feels like everything about the wedding is already planned and now were just playing the waiting game. Patience is a virtue... but dont think i was born with it... :D Im excited for the wedding day but it kind of feels like its taking forever to get here!

What ive been up to for the last two years

Its been a while since I've seen most of you and i thought i would give you all an update on what I've been doing the last few years. I was living in Pocatello, Idaho and preparing to go to school in 2007. My parents lost their jobs so i moved in with them to help out with bills. Dad graduated from college, and was offered an engineering job in Wyoming at the sheridan VA. I didnt have anything keeping me in Idaho so I agreed to move to with them. I was able to get a job working for a Private Doctors office and worked there until i caught one of my coworkers taking money from the petty cash drawer. I decided i really didnt want to work there anymore...

So i went to an old folks home and was hired the minute I walked in. I kept applying for other jobs since mine didn't pay very well and luckily got hired on at the Department of Veteran Affairs working for the federal government. I loved taking care of the old veterans. It was like having 90 different grandpas! It broke my heart everytime one would pass away. I loved the patients, but hated most of my coworkers and my boss especially. But being a federal job I was just going to suck it up and keep with it. My mom got a job working as the Health Services Administrator for the Sheridan county detention center so she hired me on part time.

I dated a few guys while i was up there and really didnt feel any kind of spark with any of them, most of the men up there arent LDS, The college ward I went to was full of married couples and the few that I did find that were LDS were what you would call Jack-Mormons, So meeting a good guy was almost impossible. I rented this quaint little apartment on the top floor of an old victorian house. I wish i would have taken pictures of it while i lived there but never did. I lived in my apartment for about 3 month and kept getting this feeling like i really needed to get to Utah. Everytime i would think about going out or going shopping, i had a feeling i should just save my money and get to utah. I talked to my parents about it and they agreed that I should really look into jobs down there. I would be close to my sisters and maybe even meet some cute LDS boy!

I applied, and applied, and applied, and applied..... but never heard anything. finally a month had gone by and i gave up. I was depressed, really hating my job and there was this weird guy who would not leave me alone. One day as I was walking into the jail I got a phone call from an (801) number. Frantically i dropped my purse and dug for my phone. I fished it out and answered, "Hi ,"said a very bubbly ladies voice, "My name is Debbie im calling from the Salt Lake City VA and..." "Hello!" I said a little too loud and abruptly cutting her off. I bit my lip so i could keep quiet and let her finish, She paused and said, "You applied for a job as a Medical Data Clerk and I just wanted to congratulate you on being selected for the position!" "Really?!?!?!" I almost screamed into the phone! "Oh you have no idea how excited i am. Thank you so much! You made my day!" I started crying and thanked her a few more times. She gave me some info on my start date and we hung up. I ran inside and screamed "I got the job!!!" My parents and I went out to celebrate and that night i started packing. I left that weekend and found an apartment with emily and maddox's help. We moved some of my stuff in over the thanksgiving weekend, had thanksgiving with maddie, then traveled back to wyoming. I had to work three more days at my old job because my old boss threatened to fire me if I didnt. So i did everything i had to do and jumped through every hoop. December 2nd I kissed my parents goodbye and headed to Utah. It took me 10 hours but i made it!

I have to admit when i got here I was on a mission to meet some cute guys. It had been ages since i went out on a real date. So in the two week i was in Utah I went on 15 dates. lets just say i got very well aquainted with the LDS temple lights haha they were beautiful but it got kind of boring going to the same place on every date. I met all different kinds of guys but still didnt feel that spark. I got on to a website called ldsmingle.com. Ive made some really great friends from that website and thought i would have a pretty good chance to meet more guys this way. This guy Shawn kept clicking on me. He sent me a few emails and we would respond back and forth. I sent him my phone number and was kind of surprised when he called me about 5 minutes later. He had kind of a deep voice with a little bit of an illinois accent. He didnt have the greatest pictures posted so i wasnt able to see what he really looked like but i still thought he was pretty cute. Something about him just struck me. We talked till 4 in the morning that night and kept talking every night after that. I went out on a date the next night with someone else and all i could think about was shawn. The funny thing is I went to chilis on a date with this guy and Shawn was there eating with his brother. I didnt know it but later that night when he called he was telling me about how good his steak was at chili's! Finally I agreed to meet him. He came to my work to eat lunch with me. I looked awful but agreed because i was just as excited to meet him. I waited by the door and here came this tall, dark, handsome guy with golden brown eyes. I about melted!!! His pictures did not do him justice. I was so nervous i just shook his hand. It felt like I had goosebumps spring up the minute we touched. I know thats corny but thats how it felt! :) We ate lunch and I couldnt stop staring at him. I was thinking to myself (I wish I would have taken the time to get ready this morning!!!) I could tell he was nervous his hands kind of shook as he ate. I kept thinking to myself, jeez who is this guy. He is so freaking cute! My lunch hour ended and i walked him back to his car. He hugged me and thanked me for lunch. I walked back to work kind of down hearted thinking i must have looked awful, he probably didnt want to do anything again. a second later he sent me a text,Asking if we were still on for tomorrow night? I was beaming! I went back to work so excited. The next day he came over brought a few of his guns (yes im a huge gun nut! Thanks dad!) :) and his bow. I also bow hunt so it was really neat that we had so many of the same interests. I cooked him a deer steak, from the buck i shot in November. He said it was delicious and couldnt wait to have some more. He kissed me that night and I have never wanted to be with anyone more in all my life. That was December 20th. We have been inseperable since. I love Shawn with all my heart and know heavenly Father had a hand in our meeting. Shawn asked me to marry him on February 17th, I am so excited to be spending the rest of my life with him and being sealed together for time and all eternity in the Logan temple on June 19th . Life has a funny way of working out. Im so excited for the future, now that ive found my best friend.

Hairstyles for the wedding

Im having a hard time deciding on how to do my hair for the wedding! I have a few pictures of updos that I like but im not in love with any of them. the very first one is the only one i really love but im worried it wont stay put through the whole day. Im rough on everything so trying to be dainty and careful is going to take alot of work. Help me try to decide on a hairstyle! I would love any advice you guys have! The wedding reception is outdoors so it needs to stand up to the elements! haha
